Last week was National Bike Week and our Green-schools committee made a special effort to encourage all our pupils to cycle to school where possible. Wednesday was National COW day (Cycle on Wednesdays). We were delighted with the response from pupils. We’ve never seen so many bikes here in St. Patrick’s and lots of pupils entered the ‘Bling your Bike and Helmet’ competition. We saw lots of creative decorations on bikes and helmets. Congratulations to Hazel, Maeve, Annie and Ciara who won prizes for their efforts and to Ms Beggs’ and Ms Osborne’s class who earned homework passes for having the highest proportion of cyclists in their classes!
